Roll-Grinding Machines

Operating Principle:
1. The workpiece is securely fixed between centers or steady rests.
2. A corundum, diamond or CBN grinding wheel runs at 1,500–3,000 rpm.
3. Cylindrical parts rotate at 10–100 rpm, while flat parts move linearly on the machine table.
4. CNC systems control radial feed, axial travel and wheel speed.
